Two of RTI’s Home Control Products Chosen for Exceptional
Innovation, Functionality and Value
EDEN PRAIRIE, MN – November 20, 2006 – Remote Technologies Inc, the leading
manufacturer in home control products, is pleased to announce the selection of
the RK3 In-Wall Touchpanel and the T4 Universal System Controller as 2006
Multi-Room Audio/Video (MRAV) Award winners. Sponsored by the Consumer
Electronics Association (CEA) and held in conjunction with the Electronic House
Fall EXPO at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, Calif., the MRAV
awards recognize significant contributions to the multi-room audio and video
market.
“We are extremely thrilled that the MRAV panel of judges has recognized the
value, innovation and functionality of the RK3 In-Wall Touchpanel and the T4
Universal Controller,” said Pete Baker, vice president of sales and marketing
for RTI. “RTI takes pride in manufacturing the highest quality in customizable
control products. It’s quite satisfying to have our efforts recognized by this
awards program.”
The RK3 In-Wall Touchpanel allows users to
control entertainment and convenience systems throughout the home. The RK3,which
mounts flush in a wall, features a 3.5” color LCD touchpanel that is small
enough to subtly integrate with any room’s décor, yet is detailed enough to
display text, graphics, and animations with crisp clarity. The controller is now
available exclusively to custom.
The RK3 was developed to provide a flexible interface that can control
entertainment systems such as distributed music systems as well as adjust
environmental/lifestyle functions such as lighting, HVAC, and motorized window
curtains. Users can even operate pools and fountains with the RK3. The in-wall
controller’s 10/100Base-T Ethernet port enables use with IP-based components,
whose expansive benefits are appearing within virtually every aspect of home
life.
Already the recipient of multiple industry accolades,
including the Electronic House Product of the Year Award, the T4
Universal Controller is the ideal handheld controller for users who
want complete access to all of the functions of home theaters and other
multi-component audio/video systems. The T4 uses a touch-sensitive, full VGA,
active, color LCD that provides full control over any size system with a
graphics-based interface that is intuitive enough for anyone to pick up and use.
The T4 is available now to custom installers.
All aspects of the T4 have been designed to blend with the aesthetics of any
home. Its open platform allows total integration with even the most advanced
audio/video components. A 6.4” TFT LCD uses full VGA resolution to display
motion JPEG video with great detail, as well as custom buttons, graphics, and
animations. The controller’s 400MHz, 32-bit processor is powerful enough to
simultaneously implement these processes smoothly and instantly. The built-in
802.11 wireless card allows for IP control of devices such as MJPEG security
cameras, music servers, and web browsing through Internet Explorer. RTI makes it
easy to customize the T4 with its TheaterTouch Designer™ software, which has
become an industry revered platform for remote programming.
